Cruise Active Time Privacy Policy

Scope

Cruise has developed a browser extension called Active Time to help us enhance labeler efficiency and productivity. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect during the use of Active Time, how we use that information, and what rights you may have.  It also provides additional detail about our handling of labeler personal data. To work on Cruise labeling projects, you must install Active Time on the work device you use to perform labeling tasks. We will authorize your labeling account and email you instructions for how to install this extension only after you have indicated you have read this notice and given your consent.  This lets us ensure that the only individuals whose data is collected by this extension are authorized labelers who have consented to the data collection, use, and disclosure described in this notice.

Personal Information Collected

The Active Time web browser extension logs how long you are actively working on labeling tasks. Once installed, Active Time will only log activity on the websites used for your Cruise labeling work (e.g. robot.car and sites.google.com/getcruise.com/*), and will not log activity or information from any other website. Specifically, when you are on the sites used for Cruise labeling, Active Time will collect information about your labeling activity, including:

Cruise may use both machine and human review of this information, and may combine this information with the outputs of labeling tasks, to assess labeling rates and other metrics regarding your labeling work. Cruise may share this information with your employer to allow the vendor to identify labelers and help them improve.

The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
